This Kuala Lumpur trip came completely unexpectedly and I lapped up the opportunity immediately. My husband had to travel there on work and we also have friends who live there so buying myself the flight ticket made perfect sense.
We were in KL for almost 5 days, we flew in on a Saturday and left on Wednesday. This is more than enough time to explore all that KL has to offer but we decided to focus more on the food and drink.
The city was also completely lit up thanks to the SEA games that were being held in KL at the time
It is fairly easy to get to Kuala Lumpur. The flights are not too expensive, especially if you travel a low cost airline such as Air Asia. Other airlines to look at are Malaysian Airlines and Tiger airways. It would be a smart idea to compare prices on a website such as Cleartrip or Via.
Getting a Malaysian visa is quite easy for Indians, infact a few years ago the Malaysian government launched something called an evisa for Indian tourists. This visa takes 24 to 48 hours to get once the application is submitted and is valid for a stay of around 30 days.
