Singapore was not our destination. It was by sheer virtue of a deal of Singapore Airlines that we had a two day and one night stopover there en route to Australia. I do not think that any airline has such a sweet deal for promoting their city as Singapore Airlines has. The deal was to pay only for the hotel (starting $59) and to start with you get S$40 on arrival at the Airport, free transfers, unlimited rides to hop on hop off bus and passes to 15 sightseeing attractions including the Bird Parks, the Flyer, Sentosa Island etc. etc. the total ticket value of which is around S$340!! Absolutely a steal. So no second thoughts - we opted for it. So if you are travelling to South East travel by Singapore Airlines and avail of this package - it's absolute value for money.
Singapore is very well connected by Air from all over the world. Changi Airport with its new terminal is one of the best in the world. It is also connected by train to Kuala Lumpur and it takes about 7 hours. To book the flight tickets, click here.
