Pangot has found prominence as a hill station with tourists over the last few years. Just 15 Km's away from the ever popular Nainital, these areas till long were only known by a select few. The drive to Pangot from Nainital, is very scenic and another destination to see on the way to Pangot is Kilbury.
One can take countless quiet walks around Kilbury and not be diusturbed
In Kilbury , the most notable thing is the Sprawling Guest house that we saw. The Guest House was slightly away from the main road at an elevated level and is surrounded by Pine Forest. The caretaker was a kind man, who let us enter and see the surroundings. I feel in love with the place immidiately and plan to go there again with my wife and friends sometime and seep up the ambience! For Fellow Terrainspotters, the DFO nainital Number for booking the Forest Rest House is 05942 - 221354
The Beautiful Guest House At Kilbury
The road from Kilbury to Pangot is filled with beautiful Flora and Fauna so typical to the North India Hill Region of India.

There are quite a few places now to stay in Pangot, but our choice would have been 'The Nest Cottages'. We although did not stay as we had our hotel in nainital. Made in a Boutique Style, this is more a resort than a Hotel and offers some great views from the classily made wooden cottages. For more information on rates and room type for the nest, Visit Here
