Kashid - White Sands and Blue Seas
The pristine Kashid Beach is located on the shores of Arabian Sea, in the North Konkan region of Maharashtra, India. It is located 30 km from Alibag and 135 km from Mumbai on the Alibag-Murud road.

Kashid has become really popular as a weekend destination from Mumbai and Pune, mainly because of its white sand, blue seas, green mountains, paddy fields, and rivulets. Kashid has a really long 3 km stretch of coast tucked in between two rocky hillocks with Casuarina groves all around the seashore. This is easily one of the best beaches in this part of the Konkan region and though absolutely deserted on weekdays, the town can attract its fair share of week-end holiday makers. The sand and the water are clean and the waves can get unusually high by Arabian sea standards (upto 6 Ft-8 Ft) during high tides!

Another well known beach in the belt of Alibaug, District Raigad is the Kihim Beach. It’s a great place for one day picnic as it is very near by to Mumbai approx 120 km. The beach is very wide and is well known for its white sand, different type of shells and unpolluted environment. The sunset from kihim beach is worth watching with your loved ones.

(Old Mumbai Pune Expressway - The Road To Pen)
Take the Mumbai Pune Express way after Vashi and look for the Khopoli exit. From Khopoli exit the Old Mumbai Pune Expressway Starts and from there take the road to Pen and be on the road to Alibag. Kihim is only 10 Km from there! About 1–2 km before Alibaug, take a left on the highway, to a road for Murud or Revdanda and from there, keep following the road towards Murud at every intersection.Around 35–37 km after Alibaug (approx 20 km before Murud) you will reach Kashid.

You are right Rahul. But theres so much beauty in this world that its hard to be mad all the time:-)....I enjoyed in whatever way I could!
On the way to Kashid lies the Korlai Lighthouse-Beach-Fort. Do visit the place next time when you visit Kashid. Kihim was a great beach until two years back. Irresponsible tourists have murdered that beautiful beach.
